Great review of your work, in that bb article. Any chance you could create a linux virtual machine with all the bits and pieces installed, for others to try the project on their photos? Even if it's slow, it would be nice!
As a first step my thought was that I should create something similar along those lines- a docker image. Ultimately I'd want it to be a standalone application. That's the goal here- to make this -useful-! It'll just take time to get to that point.
