While the cost of Halloween candy has surged more than 13.1% since last September, the Mars candy bar family became 44% richer during the pandemic increasing their wealth by $32.6 billion. The Mars family is now worth $106.8 billion. Do you know what’s scary? Corporate greed.

If for any reason you think this is okay and normal and NOT a sign of how messed up things have gotten then what is wrong with you

Texas is sending public school students home with DNA kits designed to help their parents identify their children "in case of an emergency." After the Uvalde shooting, many parents now feel even more anxious about sending their children to school. on.today.com/3TBVGGz

Seeing a lot of dudes complaining that girls ignored them because they were into geeky things growing up. I was a nerdy, geeky girl growing up & those geeky boys weren’t interested in me because I “had great boobs but an ugly face” or a “man jaw” or I was too weird for them.

It's $150 as confirmed by one of the VAs and Goku's VA mentioned that his one union role on a couple of episodes of Paw Patrol paid more than the entirety of his time as Goku for 22 years.

this crunchyroll mob psycho dub situation just reminds me that jjk0 made 30 million dollars in the USA and the dub actors for that were paid like $300 each for their roles. these companies are literally cartoonishly evil

Full-time minimum wage workers can't afford to live anywhere in America and this crisis is completely ignored by the entire politico-media complex as if it's normal for there to be an abundance of vacant homes to live in while people die on the street.

For some inexplicable reason, Twitter has a tendency to suppress tweets with mentions of the following, a lot of it financial support stuff content creators use. It varies, some of it doesn’t consistently get suppressed but it’s a thing that happens.

First, law enforcement told Abbott that his extreme idea to allow people to carry loaded guns in public without a background check, training, or permit would make us LESS safe. Then, he ignored them and made it law. Now, we're less safe as mass shootings in Texas are up by 62%.

No idea how accurate this is, but I had my resume professionally updated and they included every single item on this list I give up

Jeff Bezos added over $35 BILLION to his wealth during the pandemic, but the media is trying to convince us that some guy who got a $1 raise at Wendy’s is causing skyrocketing inflation? Gimme a break

Again, the *capital of Mississippi* does not have running water anymore. Not just for a few days — INDEFINITELY. This isn’t on front pages nationwide because the city is 80% Black. The New York Times doesn’t even mention it.

LATEST: 180,000 people in Jackson will be without safe water for drinking or even brushing their teeth "for an unknown period of time," Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves said in an emergency press briefing tonight. He warns: "DO NOT DRINK THE WATER." mississippifreepress.org/26768/do-not-d

I’m not sure that calling this “wild” conveys how egregious and fraudulent this is. An eviction hearing was rescheduled for the time when a mother was in the hospital giving birth. Notice was not given to the mother, and a default judgment was granted when she did not appear.

NEW: Wild situation coming out of Dallas. High profile anti-eviction attorney @markmelton99 is accusing a County Couet Justice of the Peace's office of forging a document to fast track an eviction against one of his clients.

The update isn't a huge overhaul of the existing guidance, but it does represent an increasing focus on individuals making their own decisions about their level of risk and how they want to mitigate that risk, said Dr. Marcus Plescia, chief medical officer for the @ASTHO.
