Thanks to for hosting a TGIK last Friday covering Cilium & Hubble. If you haven't played with Cilium or Hubble, this is a great way to explore it and learn about it.

thanks to for an informative containers presentation (must watch), he also concludes the importance of eBPF as a replacement for kubeproxy. if there is anything I learned is that I need to follow and investigate very closely.

I'm running for the CNCF Technical Oversight Committee. Why? I want to make cloud native technology really deliver on the goal of making software development better, not shiny toys, and not just for vendors. PS: Lots of other amazing people are running

Join me for on ! Cilium has done some cool stuff since covered the project in 2018. We'll pickup the torch and play with things like CRD backend, CNI chaining, kube-proxy replacement, and Hubble! Fri, 1PM PT.

This is a very rare "I'm excited and happy about something related to Kubernetes" communiqué: is adding DSR (Direct Server Return) support to Cilium 1.7, as a beta feature. This is amazing, and I'm very excited about it.

Hubble is a distributed networking and security observability platform. It is built on top of Cilium and eBPF to enable deep visibility into the communication and behavior of services as well as the networking infrastructure
