We have a logo! Fabulous artwork by who did a lot of magic and art to translate the crazy request by to have something putting together in a single logo good/bad bugs, DNA, the gut, networks, and phylogenies.

These observations are in line with findings by , et al in : Maternal gut strains more persistent in the infant gut (ecologically better adapted) Non-maternally acquired strains less persistent

So happy to see our paper on the exloration of the hidden diversity in the human microbiome featured as one of the few papers in "Best of Cell 2019"! Thanks again and many others!

Let me be sincere for a minute -- the hardest part of being a bioinformatician is seeing wet-lab PIs take on PhD students to "do bioinformatics" without providing adequate supervision or realistic expectations...

The symbiosis between humans and their associated microbes hasn't been fully characterized yet. New findings from & colleagues at -'s lab greatly expand the microbial diversity associated with non-human primates

Non-human primates have a lot of unexplored microbial diversity in their guts! Our latest work led by just published in . Can be important to understand our own microbiome and its host co-evolutionary trajectories

Study of microbial genomes from non-human primates from , and co. They take datasets from 22 species of primate and generate metagenome-assembled genomes. Most are from novel genomes and there is very little overlap with humans

Really happy to share our latest work on non-human primate microbiomes and their largely uncharacterized diversity! Many thanks to and to the whole !

The Treponema genus is particularly intriguing in this context because it has sister species as well as shared species in humans and non-human primates, and it is also very affected by host lifestyles
