    Questions: who in the Intelligence Community told CNN about Comey's briefing to Trump about the dossier? Did that leaker believe, like Strzok, that the revelation about a dossier could be used as a "pretext" to interview Trump-Russia witnesses?

    On 1/10/17, Strzok said he wanted to use reporting about the Steele dossier as a "pretext" to "go interview some witnesses." On Jan. 27, FBI agents approach , seemingly to interview him about his contacts with an alleged dossier source.

    There is some indication that the FBI used the dossier as a pretext to interview . The FBI approached him on Jan. 27, 2017 under pretext of asking about dossier source Sergei Millian. Papadopoulos's lawyers claimed that was a "ruse."
