If what happened with is true, it's utterly tragic and I am deeply sorry for everyone's loss.
That said, there are discrepancies about their identity. There is evidence this might be a catfish account. I sincerely hope I'm wrong.

I looked through my own brief interaction with them, and there are things that don't add up.
When the campaign started to help BethAnn regain tenure, I volunteered to help. Sciencing_Bi DMed me asking for my email so I could be added to a google doc.

I sent my email, and later received an invite from BethAnn's gmail account to the google doc that aligns with the timeline of what Sciencing_Bi said to me.
I really, really, really hope there is a plausible explanation for this that isn't sketchy. But right now, I feel absolutely sick to my stomach with the thought that someone would lie about a person dying of COVID.

I really went back and forth over whether I should post this or not. I really hope people will exercise skepticism with extreme compassion and care because this is a really sensitive, concerning situation.
