Kevin McCarthy won’t join NY GOP leaders who are calling on Santos to resign. Says it’s up to the voters. “He has to answer to the voters,” he told reporters. If Santos were to resign, it would set up a special election in a NY district that could flip to the Democrats

Santos is dangerous and an embarrassment to all New Yorkers. ⤵️

George Santos has blatantly lied about his entire life and record; there is ZERO basis for entrusting him with access to highly classified information. That’s why I’m demanding @SpeakerMcCarthy safeguard our national security and block Santos’ access until he is properly vetted.

Well anyways, it's late and I have sleep to recover. There needs to be a full accounting of the campaign filings, bank accounts, and expenditures. Reporters should go through the FEC reports with a fine toothcomb in the meantime.

Giving money to Kristi Noem and Blake Masters is just objectively hilarious, as it makes literally 0 sense. RJC-PAC is hilarious, given the fallout of his admission that he is not Jewish. The rest of these donations are weird and strange. This is not what good campaigns do

I don't know many things in life, but having run tight campaigns I know that my budget for donations to other campaigns is $0. Not the Santos campaign. Here are the donations they made to other candidates/groups ranked by how strange/funny I find them:

4. $78,970 to Templar Baker Group Inc 5. $57,500 to The Coefficient Group LLC 6. $43,088.21 to The ONE57 Group LLC Given the lies we've seen, I'd love to have someone go through and ask these companies if the Santos campaign worked with them at these rates.

If you assume this finance reporting is accurate (I don't), it's INSANE! Good campaigns would never let Advertising (AKA: communicating your message to voters) dip below 70% of their budget & spending more on fundraising than paid comms is wild.

🧵Being the person that I am (weird), I decided to my time off to dive into George Santos' FEC reports to get a better understanding of how he spent his $$$, especially the $700k that he "loaned the campaigned." Note I don't think he actually did. Here is what I found:
