    Encountered many journalists in my career. Hard jobs, low pay, rough hours, little protection from a world full of nuts. Most give their all b/c a trusted free press is vital. Pray for the victims. Reporters aren’t the enemy no matter your politics. We are all in this together.

    University Holdings' highest paid employee, from records I've reviewed, was former Provost Shirley Willihnganz, who got about $78k in one year circa 2011-2012. Former chief of staff Kathleen Smith got about $50,000/year from UHI. Ramsey never drew payments from UHI.

    In 2016, I reported on how was overstating its endowment by up to $72m by pretending that spent $ was an asset. Today, they have written off over half of that 'asset', and it has been a big drag on the endowment's performance & money available to support academics
