Thank you Justice Michael Tulloch for his important work on the Independent Street Checks Review. Carding does not make our communities any safer, and it devastates lives. This discriminatory practice must be banned and the data collected from innocent people must be destroyed.

Wow this blew up! I think 1 of the reasons the CBC wants to avoid using the G-work is due to the reality that Canada is--at least in part--the product of a continent-wide genocide of indigenous peoples, right in our own backyards. They would prefer we don't draw such links.

Great suggestion by ! It’s important to know how new cycles/ print cycles work to know when to pitch article ideas. I know and have great advice on this too! In other words, it’s the opposite to publishing!

"Aivalis’s careful re-telling of the historical record provides a useful and interesting narrative which will be of interest to many readers today, and provides considerable fodder for thought as we engage in current political debates."

Vital point. One thing that helped to improve my writing was doing so outside academic spaces. Writing short articles for newspapers and other venues sharpened my expression, helped me write on deadlines, and added both a clarity and efficiency to my writing

A look back at : is the single greatest threat we face. It's time for a government that invests in clean energy and sustainable jobs, not pipelines & oil subsidies.

Rep. Liz Cheney, daughter of Dick Cheney, yesterday attacked "the fraud of socialism." Really? I wasn't aware that it was "socialism" that lied about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, and got us into a horrific war that we should never have started.

I see little to be optimistic about in regards to the Liberals' passing any sort of reform. If they were, they would've have passed 's legislation years ago

Many recent firsts in our own legislature - including first ever MPP of Bangladeshi origin, first Somali-Canadian MPP, first politician of Tibetan descent elected in North America, and first out queer Black woman in the Ontario legislature.

NDP Democrats share in the excitement about historic “firsts” and breaking of barriers as the US Congress swears in the first Indigenous women, first Muslim women and a record number of women.

Is it "radical" to demand that all Americans have health care, that billionaires pay their fair share of taxes, that workers earn at least $15 an hour and that we transform our energy system in order to combat climate change? I don't think so.
