yes sometimes I get pretty detailed like that! i’ll come up with a person (someone I know or made up), a setting (coffee shop, walking at park), a topic, their position, my argument, how we feel (laughing? serious?) etc and then just let my imagination flow and see where it goes
this feels very similar to how I talk with my parts for IFS practice! Do you then try to recreate that in real life with that person?

nope I don’t think I’ve ever actively tried to recreate an imaginary convo irl! I’m sure that would feel too forced 
which is why I think the main reason I do it is to try to understand how I feel or what I think about certain topics and my relationship with people?

I never do this. Except for an interview or break up maybe. Practice different angles? Delivery modes?? Maybe I would be more socially successful if I did!!
