Same here! Having a cluster with similar topics is a bit more legible (and less boring than mono-topic accounts), but practically there are some topics that are different enough to deserve its own cluster Helps the Twitter algo which means more good people to talk with
yeah I suspect the aa culture stuff is a big enough discussion to warrant an alt but I'll wait and see if I can manage to consolidate

in what ways do y'all feel the current system is inadequate, leading you to solve the problem by making alts? is it that you want to see specific things, but everything is presented to you at once; thus you make a topic cluster-specific alt? also 4 algo confusion? anything else?

For me it is that I want a thriving community discussion space for X topic, but I don't want to flood the tl or alienate my current friends who follow me for reasons & interests unrelated to X.
