I legally changed my name at 17, but now I feel like a different person than the name I chose for myself (which held certain connotations of dreams I held at the time), and am considering changing it again!

Which honestly was not something I foresaw as a 17 year old, I think because I chose it myself it feels much more like something I can change my mind about, whereas if it’s given to you then that’s that

But it’s a bit of hassle to actually change your name, not just legally but as an identity shift and social implications, so it is kind of a commitment lol
