not many women in my corner of twitter but for those who are here, can you please share: what’s your experience when it comes to your friendships with other girls—is it hard for you or easy? groups vs. one-on-one? thoughts on “a girl is toxic if she has trouble w/ other women”?

The more attractive I look the harder it is
being hot instantly makes girls act catty and toxic, whereas minimizing looks makes it easier to hang
I have strong 1:1 girl friendships, and with a few of those I have formed small but solid friend groups.1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -

I don’t think having a hard time getting along with other women means one is toxic, there are too many other factors that could be at play.

someone else privately mentioned that looks played a role for them, and that after they put more effort into beauty, they noticed that they were seen as a threat or not trusted at first (trust was quickly built after meeting though)! how interesting, i never considered that

Yeah, female competitiveness over attractiveness is def a thing. I feel like the best way to dispel fears/insecurities is to signal upfront that you can be trusted and that you want to be friends

I’m kinda mulling over how to do this myself, like sometimes if you step out of competition you are viewed as inferior
