One of the most enjoyable aspects of my IFS journey so far is that, with my newfound awareness of a few seriously blended parts, I can now ask them to step aside and make room for other parts, and they are for the first time getting some primetime

Whereas in more recent entries, I play with untraditional punctuation, the writing is more rhythmic/echoes music or tumbles with the visceral sensation of an emotion/experience, and it feels like other parts jump in and take the mic at times.

I used to be like— how does someone follow their intuition? Do you sort of lick a metaphorical finger and hold it up to the wind..? And now I think a big part of it is asking your thinking parts to take a step back.

Last thought is that dancing or playing music has always felt like a short circuit to being in body. But even then, it would be good to remind thinking parts to make room for other parts.
