i love having an ongoing email thread! like heartfelt letters set in their own universe; not exactly bound to your regular interactions
-
ooh I like this. How frequently do you write?

I write a letter every month to express gratitude and reflect on good memories! and found it nice to have a "our spot" (e.g. particular restaurant) that we go to for special occasions or celebration. we handle conflicts and emotional processing in conversation as they arise
-
I love that! it sounds like a nice dose of joy into the relationship. Do you find that some conflicts get swept under the rug/go unnoticed if you don't make a specific time/space to think about them?

Oh man this is good, have been thinking about this

I'm getting pretty good in my own practices for getting grounded and resourced, which is a huge part of it Figuring out ways to bring that to my relationship, both to cap the downs and raise the ups!

based on a practice called beginning anew, i loosely use this structure: 1 appreciations / gratitudes 2 regrets (my behaviour) 3 difficulties, requests one person at a time goes thru all 3 topics, the other deep listens. can b easier to say hard stuff this way vs back & forth
-
idk if its best, i like to see others practices :)
