A few years ago I journaled about the Gensler Experience Index and I find that it still comes to mind when I think about my experiences https://www.gensler.com/gri/experience-index …pic.twitter.com/kEopPtRJU9

My handwriting is actually much worse than this this is practically bubbly
Anyways just now I got lunch and could've chatted up these 2 cool-seeming friends hanging out near me, and I considered it, but it felt like I was just not in the right mode/mindset to do it
I could feel this inner resistance where I had just finished running errands and was in "task" mode, and the amount of effort it would take to switch into "social" mode was just too high
Sometimes it feels like I am just so deep in my thoughts / inner world that I need to swim hundreds of feet up to resurface and talk to someone
I think I am fairly good at switching mental focus between topics/projects/threads but am now focusing on having more flexibility to switch between these modes of experience

How to lubricate ease of mode switching?? To easily go from reflecting to having fun, getting something done to shooting the breeze.... maybe I'll take some improv classes.
