The cognitive dissonance of building a home in Las Vegas sprawl that reflects your love of Europe's human-scaled urbanism is an irony I fear I will never understand. (Red is home location)

New data out showing the rise in young adults living at home. "Non-dependent children" is how the census categorises them. But I'd call them young, or even middle aged, adults living with parents because they can't afford a home of their own. This isn't progress.

A 14.7% increase in young adults living with parents in just 10 years highlights the extent of the housing crisis in England and Wales - you can see the increase in numbers right up to the age of 45 in the chart here. twitter.com/ONS/status/162โ€ฆ

Dear Councillor, I live in Westminster but regularly visit Chiswick. This crossing will inevitably cause migraines and trigger epilepsy - might we meet to discuss the protection of those recovering from head injuries or neurological conditions such as those I have mentioned? and I'm thinking about this because an ad for an "ethical" smartphone hacked me off. you know what is ethical? proper regulation of manufacturing processes across the whole supply chain, right-to-repair laws, and strong incentives to avoid software bloat (read: tracking and ads)

the main reason any smartphone from the last decade has become slow to the point of being unusable is because of software bloat. the amount of computing power in a typical smartphone is on par with what entire desktop computers would struggle to do even just a few years ago
