One of life’s greatest ironies is that most of the things we chase because of our conviction that they will make us happy end up actually making us less happy and one of life’s greatest tragedies is that we commit this mistake over and over again and we are still none the wiser.

Many things in product are positioned as universal tradeoffs (e.g. “quality vs velocity”). But they aren't universal. For example, some companies believe there is a tradeoff between quality and speed. While other companies see quality as a prerequisite for speed.

Super proud of the team. Great to see them have success. It’s been awesome to see Chase (my son) grow in robotics—technically and experience.

I was blessed to join our students in Jerusalem this J-term, led by Prof. Jenny Collins in our Biblical Studies, Christian Ministries & Philosophy department. This is the entrance to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, arguably the holiest site in the world for Christianity.

I think the Unicorn metaphor is broken. I hear that businesses > $1B are Unicorns, people with the perfect mix of skills are Unicorns, and others. The problem is that Unicorns don’t actually exist! Maybe we should switch to Black Swans…

Don’t waste your time visiting in Indianapolis. Get to the store and find sign saying closed at 5pm today. Not sure how you are supposed to know that before showing up!? Complete waste of time! Super poor user/customer experience…
