Trump defends his “very fine people” comments on Charlottesville: “People were there protesting the taking down of the monument of Robert E. Lee. Everybody knows that.” Fact check: There were many neo-Nazis and white supremacists.

Are you saying anyone who opposed the taking down of the statue and renaming the park must have been neo-nazis and white supremicists?pic.twitter.com/J86zowliOc

Cute picture towelie. Seems like you’re the one saying that
-
General Lee was a great general. Does that make me a racist or confederate sympathizer? General Rommel was a great general, as well. Does that make me a neo-Nazi now for saying that? This is part of the absurdity of your tweets. Not everyone who protested was a neo-Nazi. Get it?

Donald trump is a terrible person. Does that make me part of the resistance?

But spreading lies, half-truths, and misleading info, like your buddy Jim Acosta does, is NEVER acceptable.pic.twitter.com/7LLSnZ6UP3

Yes, you caught me. I don’t want spread lies or half truths. Jim Acosta and I are buddies. P. S. It’s super strange that you use the dilbert guy to quote the acting President

As a historian, I would have protested the removal. Don't want to repeat history? Don't bury it. Better yet - actually study it. Liberals would rather rewrite history than learn from it.
-
As a historian, do you think we might bring back slavery because that fucking statue was removed?
-
Come on. It's about reminding people how hatred & racism nearly destroyed a people and a nation. It spurs study & thought. Again, critical thinking is imperative. You're thinking is too basic. Erasing the negative stories does not make evil go away.
-
Ah, yes, my bad for taking you at your word when you stated “Don't want to repeat history? Don't bury it.” I’m sorry you need to be reminded that hatred and racism are not good things. Maybe you can put a post it note on your front door to remind you.

If you studied Germany, you'd know that many there deny the holocaust. Hitler was no one's hero. Lee didn't like slavery. You'd have to study to know that. Instead, you think your snark makes you smart. I
how liberals call those who don't agree w/ them racist. It's your go-to. -
What don’t people that deny the holocaust like about hitler? How does this relate to the lack of hitler statues and anti-nazi laws in Germany?

So antifa are the everyday Americans who were there protesting the removal of a confederate statue? Is that what you’re trying to say?
