    After the recent attack in Toronto, a CBC reporter tweeted out competing accounts of the violence. One wrongly identified the attacker as "angry" and "Middle Eastern," and the other correctly identified him as "white." One got way more engagement than the other.

    Interesting point by on the Quad and tech: as opposed to grand alliance on technology, targeted coalitions like the Quad are more likely to succeed because they're more tightly scoped to each country's interests -- and thus more sustainable
