Mr Raab says any deal which involved oversight by the European courts would be a 'totally lopsided arrangement.' But he suggests EU will move on this; this is opening salvo of negotiations etc

The EU will no doubt point out that Boris Johnson agreed to level playing field commitments when he signed the political declaration (obvs not legally binding)

Well yeah, the point of Brexit being that the tories can lower standards and regulations, not increase them!

Not likely they would lose votes; but they can certainly drop any conditions that cost business but have no tangible benefit to workers, products or trade. It is about how things are done, not that they are needed or not. EU regulations proscribe single solutions for all!

Yes and the bit you are missing.... The UK signed up to this in the political declaration and are now rowing back and that is the UK Government's decision nothing to do with the EU

The point of Brexit was to get Johnson into power. It's already succeeded. Raab will now put friction at the border and increase red tape, things they promised wouldn't happen. But pointing this out means I'm dividing the country and not moving on.

"move on" is a ruse to stop people telling the truth. Don't stop!
