    Here's a way to think of the magnitude of this. If you go back in time and restore voting rights in 1998, Democrats win the 2000, 2004 and possibly 2016 Presidential elections. Alex Sink wins the 2010 Governor election and accepts Medicaid Expansion, insuring ~400,000 people.

    In 2013, Missousi's SoS Jason Kander (D) wrote to Boehner *pre*-certification saying a House special election's result was certain; Rep. Smith (R) was sworn within a day.

    McConnell cannot act until Alabama sends certification to Senate. And that will not happen until Dec 27 at earliest, according to Alabama Sec of State.
