If they were throwing Molotov cocktails at the police, and had proclaimed to want to kill civilians, then yeah. You seem to be ignoring those facts, or the difference between a civil protest, and one organized by a terrorist organization.

I think we all know that the US doesn't have "positions" anymore. The administration has postures, and it's a more convenient posture for them to ignore the murder of children than call out an "ally". Posturetutes.
