Schools are NOT baby-sitters. They are Petri dishes which employ hundreds of thousands of people in the country. Parents have already had 3+ months to figure it out. They have another few weeks.

It’s not gonna happen with social distancing requirements. I’m a parent and teacher and I’m already dreading August.

Also a teacher and incredibly nervous about what is asked to do. I’ll have to be nervous about what I’m bringing into my house.

As a teacher in a windowless, crammed, public school classroom, I’m not sure how we will be able to social distance in the school environment.

the only way is dividing classes in half; groups alternate days, desks 6 feet apart, class changes staggered. Even with those measures it doesn't help working families that much.
