The most cynical interpretation of all this, one I can't quite bring myself to accept, is they rolled out the model showing 100k deaths after they knew it would be less than that so they could anchor everyone to that # and take a vicotry lap when "only" tens of thousands died.https://twitter.com/atrupar/status/1248016552575651842 …

When will everyone learn - he has no bottom. He has no plan. He only cares about appearances and numbers and the illusion of success that he can try to spin into further wins. It's how he ran his real estate/product scams. It's a facade. They've normalized low expectations

yes the reason I can't quite accept it is because of that and the IMHE model is a real and publicly accessible thing.

Wish they had done that weeks earlier when it might have helped convince governors to shut down faster.

But that wouldn't serve the agenda. There's not even any need to theorize a conspiracy, you can just see it happening in real time. It benefits Trump and his allies to have COVID19 continue out of control for a while.

New Zealand has had less than a handful of COVID-deaths. South Korea—1st case same day as ours—is in recovery, so is Germany. Only Trump-cultists will believe that tens of thousands of dead Americans constitutes "a very good job."

NZ has had 1 death so far. Comprehensive lockdown, clear competent leadership and universal healthcare are major factors.

Why can't you accept it, Chris? You have been fighting...so many obvious truths about this man. Accepting the truths don't make you a bad person, Chris!

I think he can't accept that Fauci would be a part of such a scheme. Because as far as I can tell, he's the only one that has not, as they say, "drunk the kool-aid".
