And one of the speakers is...me! ☺️ Really looking forward to this and hoping it will lead to deliberate, equitable changes in the UK environmental sector (no pressure).

We have over 400 people signed up to our event in September on how the environmental sector can become anti-racist - v much hoping it'll be one of our most popular events! - and we can really build on the momentum of the last six months. Do share! 👇

I have lots of phrases and ideas related to mental illness that will probably always stick with me - inc so many articles/podcasts I return to again and again. I'll do a thread on all of them one day - but for now, I'm just holding how vast and complex an experience it can be. 🌍

The strangest part (for me) is the 'recovery' part - as if you could ever really go back to who you were before. As with all big experiences, they change you, and so much of 'recovery' is about finding out what that change (or even just a sense of stability) means for you. 🤔

Depression is a strange old thing. As I move through it, I find new aspects or parts of it - and I'm slowly realising how narrow and limited our understanding of it can often be. I'm learning all the time - from my own experiences and the many people I've encountered. 🙏

Mum. She wasn't that happy about this photo. But she's a very good egg. Lucky to have a Mum who cares about things. Also just generally an all-round hero of a human.

11 years on we are back in a recession. In 2007, the mental health conversation was non-existent but today it isn’t. This time we cannot ignore or forget the fatal mental repercussions that recessions have on people and it MUST be part of the conversation as well as the economy.

It's still so wild up here in Scotland. I've seen deers and rabbits on my walks, so many wildflowers I've never even heard of (tbf, I don't know many), birds of all kinds, and v much enjoying the slightly-less neat coastal paths. 🌊☀️🌱

I loved writing this beautiful feature for about the importance of South Asian-owned corner shops in the UK, especially amidst the lockdown. Thank you 🤍
