    Both the HRC foundation board (C3) and the HRC foundation board (C4) voted on the termination of Alphonso David. A source familiar with the vote tells me the C4 vote was unanimous and the C3 vote had 2 abstentions.  Nobody voted “no,” the source tells me.

    Wow. I was just forwarded this email from HRC's board co-chairs, who say Alphonso David made an inaccurate portrayal of events, including his "assertion that there was "'no indication of wrongdoing on his part.'"

    My hot journalism is take is that writing in a story you talked to "a dozen" people is cool, "dozens" is much cooler, but phrases like "nearly half a dozen" just sound defensive/obfuscatory. You can always say "several"! Or give a number!
