Great news for the -19 vaccine programme! The Pfizer vaccine can now be stored at normal fridge temp (2C to 8C up to 31 days). This means it’s easier to transport and will be more accessible at places like local pharmacies/GPs’ surgeries.

Have to love the thumbs up for the ‘good news’ the COVID-19 response Minister opens the press conference with. No new cases in the community.

We would like to acknowledge Papatoetoe High School principal Vaughan Couillault, his leadership team and the school board for the considerable work they have done, and the calm and professional manner in which they have done this in a very difficult situation.

NZ’s first shipment of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine will arrive early next week. We’re geared up to start vaccinating our border workers from next Saturday. Our goal is to have them vaccinated within 2-3 weeks. Vaccines likely to be available to all in the second half of 2021.

Hey businesses in NZ: please print out several copies of your QR code & place then about your premises. Please also pop some lower down so people in wheelchairs can also reach. And how about asking people when they pay if they’ve scanned? Thanks!

So please everyone, let’s remember to be kind and unite against the virus, not the people who might have it. (3/3)

If they test positive, we then ask them to share a big part of their life with the rest of us so we can drive the virus out. The last thing we need is for people to be reluctant to come forward for fear of a public pile-on. (2/3)

A hallmark of New Zealand’s COVID-19 response has been the compassion and kindness we’ve shown to each other. There is no shame in getting COVID-19, and we need people who show symptoms to come forward and get a test. (1/3)

Our plan to rebuild New Zealand keeps a lid on debt while protecting vital services like health. We’re building on the work we’ve already done to fix a health system that was underfunded for nearly a decade - and our plan is already in motion.

Desperate and irresponsible from National. They will need to cut billions of critical investments in health and education. What's needed now is Labour's strong leadership and balanced plan for recovery and rebuild.
