interested if campaign finance laws care about this distinction. Seems to me it’s your duty to know where your hundreds of thousands of dollars are going weeks before an election. You can’t just tell your lawyer here’s 35k, have fun, hope you don’t use it to benefit my campaign

That’s not what happened. He did not make the agreement to repay until after the election, per RG.

Ha. Ok thanks for “clarifying” and interpreting. Trying to catch up, and RG is not making that easy on us. I’d argue that the timing of the agreement to repay is pretty immaterial, but I guess we’ll see what SCOTUS says someday perhaps?

"I paid my 'fixer' $420,000 to fix things for me, but I don't want to know that problems he fixed" is surely a morally vacuous position for Trump. Amazing, as every day is, how the GOP has abandoned any pretense of conservatism or ethics.

Chris, in what context is anything Rudy says about this issue, in ANY way dispositive? Seems Trump is happy to wave it aside, while Rudy’s spinning little stories not under oath. Why are we listening to him? How will he help us focus on political or legal issues needing action?
