UPDATE: Former federal prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald, now a partner at Skadden, confirms in a statement that he “has been part of Mr. Comey’s legal team since May 2017.”

So, the TPM story is accurate insofar as Fitzgerald is Comey’s lawyer, but there is nothing new about it, as Fitzgerald’s statement says Comey brought him on the same month Trump fired Comey back in 2017. IOW, this is not a development related to the release of the memos, etc.
