Eventually, Trump got to the question, saying, "We are hopefully coming to the end [of the Mueller investigation]. As far as the two gentlemen [Mueller and Rosenstein], they've been saying I'm going to get rid of them [for many months], but they're still here."

In short, asked about what he is planning on doing, Trump responds by (1) repeating his "no collusion" line, (2) repeating his "Dem hoax b/c they lost despite their Electoral College advantage" line, & (3) saying what has happened, not what will happen, w/ Mueller and Rosenstein.

Hard to dispute. Is there any serious suggestion we've had 18mo of speculative reporting about Russian spy operations involving the winning campaign for reasons other than disputing the election result?
-
The indicted Russian operatives don't mean anything?
-
Precisely the point. Why would that 2014 operation be interpreted as having anything to do with Trump who entered 2016 with a 0% chance of winning the presidency? Isn't it clear that's now being coopted as a way to avoid responsibility for the results?
-
Because it was an attack on the electoral integrity of the United States?
-
I'm not aware of any attack on the electoral integrity of the US, nor any serious discussion which questions the vote results as being illegitimate. Again, you're making my point about the true purpose of discussing Russia non-stop since the election.
-
They hacked the systems of both parties. I know they didn't change votes directly. But their actions may have led to people changing their votes.
