Nice — that so many of you agree!pic.twitter.com/zWHhN22BgT

Lists my man, lists. Fully chronological from the jump, minimal promotion.
I have lists. They are not a good sense of “what’s happening now” on Twitter — which is what Twitter is supposed to be! (They’re subsets, and I like them, but they don’t replace my stream.)
I have a list of ~ 100 of the Very Online (incl. your esteemed self) and it usually gets me up to speed pretty quickly..
The point is that I don’t want to limit it. I follow a lot of people and my stream gives me the opportunity to see what people are talking about from a wide range of fields and ideologies and interests. When I want to see a list, I look at a list. At work, especially.
I take the point. But just to say list has e.g. @NoahCRothman @ebruenig @KrangTNelson @Popehat @pattymo @ashleyfeinberg @maggieNYT @nycsouthpaw.. you can cast a wide net
OK, I am plenty informed of your point. I have MANY lists. You are, however, ignoring my point. I follow 5,000 people. That is what Twitter’s stream is. Jack broke it. That’s it.
I mean yes. I don't see why they can't build the whole damn plane out of [the way lists work]
But what about, and stick with me here Chris, using lists?
Ok, this is a little too on the nose.pic.twitter.com/GR1J7F7G2A
THANK YOU! I get mad sick of having to wade through a swamp of obsolete crap 14 hours - or even two days - old to find the random posts from the last 30 minutes
And stop showing us others' day old likes.
You’re not going to believe where this popped up...
You’re just waiting way too long between sign ons! If you close the app and then immediately reopen it in an endless cycle, I can assure you this does not happen.
I just want the "Show more tweets" option to not shoot me to the top of queue and lose my place. But they're too busy fighting hate speech to stick a placeholder or something in there
This is at the top of my feed...9 hrs after you wrote it
Especially with the app. I get one or two recent tweets before everything I've 'missed'
mournful sigh
