Cohen's letter seems to misstate what is meant by "special circumstances." It doesn't mean, "Wow, this is wild."It means there are special things about the representation that justify keeping its existence hidden. The letter does nothing to explain that.pic.twitter.com/dnHXM0K3yo

In the case cited, that lengthy quote is from the court's introduction of the discussion — not its resolution. In the case, it found no protection — and explained how limited the circumstances are when a client's identity can be shielded. https://openjurist.org/992/f2d/449/vingelli-v-united-states …pic.twitter.com/BwcOVRjetT

What is unprecedented is that the personal attorney of the President was involved in a felony criminal conspiracy, and used his phone and computer in furtherance of that criminal conspiracy, when he was not committing direct crimes of his own.

It is like nothing unprecedented happen since Trump is Potus. If that is the best line they can come with...respect the guy, he is the president lawyer, treat him better than any other citizen. Can't think of a single judge enjoying such argument.

When do you think we'll get a ruling? I assume Judge Wood will want to fully defend her position with a written opinion.

Having probable cause to believe the President’s attorney committed crimes is also unprecedented.

What they neglect to mention, I suppose, is the *unprecedented* corruption of said Prez. and the many way's he's clearly violated the law in public.

Well yeah - so is EVERYTHING that 45 has touched. It’s ALL unprecedented, and not in a good way for our country. Mueller’s Making America Great Again!

Uh maybe the president shouldn't have a lawyer that hasn't engaged in (alleged) criminal activity or ya know not (allegedly) be one himself.

It seems an important point to me. DJT is a private citizen like everyone else, but POTUS is a unique constitutionally protected office regardless of who occupies it. It’s a totally appropriate argument for MC, DJT, and POTUS lawyers to make.
-
Especially if, as the letter seems to suggest, it is info regarding this 3rd client, and not DJT that is the actual target of the warrant.
