As to Berman, the recusal would make sense if he's met with Trump about the job.

Lol. Now USA Today has edited its story to say that Berman "was recused by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein." ABC says the "recusal was approved by senior Justice Department officials" who report to Rosenstein, who was informed after the fact.

Another possibility: what if Mueller has interviewed Berman. Don't forget trump personally interviewed Berman for the job. Did he ask him for a loyalty oath?

I'm not certain but I believe recusal is something you do yourself. He would have recused himself for conflict of interest. The recusal would be based on DoJ guidelines.
