JUST IN: Paul Manafort's lawyer in his DC criminal case, at almost 10:30 pm tonight, filed a request to have an extension of the weekend and Monday to file his motion to suppress the evidence obtained by Mueller's team.pic.twitter.com/jAWDfUHvUs

Love the excitement for a 4a story, tbh.
HERE IT IS —> Manafort Says The FBI's Search Of A Storage Unit Was Illegal, Wants Evidence Tossedhttps://www.buzzfeed.com/chrisgeidner/paul-manafort-says-the-fbi-illegally-searched-a-storage?utm_term=.gqv8nXER6 …
Color me skeptical of the argument made by Manafort's lawyers in their late Friday night filing: https://www.buzzfeed.com/chrisgeidner/paul-manafort-says-the-fbi-illegally-searched-a-storage?utm_term=.hlb6rQ5E8#.frvYvn1a3 …pic.twitter.com/OhQrCFVA6a
So I'm reading this as: 1. Former Manafort employee was leaseholder for storage unit, therefore would've been presumed by to have authority to open it upon request. 2. Feds see boxes likely belonging to Manafort. Based on plainly visible labels, they decide to get a warrant.
Whole Manafort atty argument rests on the flawed presumption "any experienced LEO would know" the employee didn't have authority. Storage unit was still in the employee's name, therefore as leaseholder was still responsible for it.
Once again Team Trump Treason is undone by their everyday sloppiness. An easy counter will be: If this former employee had no right to access the unit, why was he STILL the sole responsible leaseholder and primary contact for the storage unit after he'd been dismissed?
Real world scenario: I am at this time storing in my garage, some filing cabinets and file boxes for a friend and business colleague. If the Feds came here and asked to look in MY garage, and I gave them permission, and they saw something hinky about the file boxes... well. /end
Addendum: Learned today this employee wasn't 'former' at all. He's just working for a different one of Manafort's many LLCs. He's still a salaried employee of Manafort.
Should have just labeled it “Proof Of All My Crimes”
i'll take 'surrogates', but 'RA' sounds juicy, gimme that one too
Manafort was organized!! He has it all saved, archived, detailed. It’s like he wanted to get a full bonus for being a traitor or something.
Storage locker Could have been pardon insurance for Manafort.
You think? I don’t know enough. How so?
Wow, can you imagine the goodies the FBI found in there!!! Guessing he’s not too happy with Gates right about now.
“Ballot Security”
it was the Ukrainian election...not ours
I know.
therefore you should understand its meaning, kinda like when a certain Minnesota Senator found a bunch of votes for him, in the truck of a guys car
Sounds like you are living in some weird conspiracy theory world. I’ll leave you to your idiocy. *mutes*
