JUST IN: Paul Manafort's lawyer in his DC criminal case, at almost 10:30 pm tonight, filed a request to have an extension of the weekend and Monday to file his motion to suppress the evidence obtained by Mueller's team.pic.twitter.com/jAWDfUHvUs

This possibility was noted by @joshgerstein earlier, and I meant to add that tweet to this thread!https://twitter.com/joshgerstein/status/982446563539800064 …
Also: In a sign that he was rushed, Manafort's lawyer misspelled "SUPRESS" in the caption of the filing. :-(pic.twitter.com/tP0AUzVzBs
It is after midnight, and Judge Amy Berman Jackson did not rule on Manafort's request for an extension of time to file a motion to suppress regarding the search of the residence. Nor did his lawyer file such a motion. So, in theory, it's now out of time.

Love the excitement for a 4a story, tbh.
HERE IT IS —> Manafort Says The FBI's Search Of A Storage Unit Was Illegal, Wants Evidence Tossedhttps://www.buzzfeed.com/chrisgeidner/paul-manafort-says-the-fbi-illegally-searched-a-storage?utm_term=.gqv8nXER6 …
Color me skeptical of the argument made by Manafort's lawyers in their late Friday night filing: https://www.buzzfeed.com/chrisgeidner/paul-manafort-says-the-fbi-illegally-searched-a-storage?utm_term=.hlb6rQ5E8#.frvYvn1a3 …pic.twitter.com/OhQrCFVA6a
Apparently, Manafort's lawyers decided to heed our advice about the ill-advised strategy they were pursuing with the almost-out-of-time motion to continue, @chrisgeidner
Well, not necessarily. This is about the storage unit — not the residence (which was what the extension request specifically asked about).
You can look in my house, but under no condition can you go in my storage unit
You don’t have to be a prosecutor to know that whatever was in that storage locker proves he is guilty of a felony.
@joshgerstein Isn't this a circular argument? If the lease was in the "former" employee's name & he had stuffed it full of Manafort files, how can Team Manafort argue the leaseholder was unable to give the FBI permission to enter?pic.twitter.com/r4iMNUpm07
As a side note, the storage unit suppression filing was authored by Jay R. Nanavati of Kostelanetz & Fink, LLP & the PDF file created today at 10:27 PM & modified at 10:37 PM.pic.twitter.com/7SHd0fL3VP
this motion definitely validates Mueller looking for evidence in the storage locker.
Someone is going to die in jail.
Sounds like someone struck pay dirt...
Look here not there? Anybody got a Huckleberry Hound gif?
