"This is a local matter," @PressSec says of Anton Sterling and Stephon Clark police-shooting deaths. "Not something for the federal government to weigh in on." CONTRAST:pic.twitter.com/7BlrmbGuig

Shootings of unarmed black men around the entire Country ...are local issues .. decisions of sanctuary cities are federal .. got it
I would go further and say that the WH should not be preemptively opining on a matter that potentially is for DOJ investigation. (I recognize that this DOJ will never investigate such a matter but that's a separate problem.)
Slavery and segregation were “local matters” until people demanded the federal government step in to enforce human & civil rights. Keep fighting.
Trump never deals with anything that would make him the teensiest bit uncomfortable. Hence twitter instead of, you know, talking to people, and hence his refusal to go comfort the grieving in all these shootings and bombings.
If police shootings were happening to white males than yes it would be a nat’l crisis. much like the opioid addition affecting the suburban communities is now a health emergency but when it gripped the urban community it was considered a war on drugs & those addicted goes to jail
#SAD that she doesn't realize how dumb she sounds. He is pres. of the US. All the states! Why should he be exempt from doing what any other pres. would do? Ok, that was a stupid question. It might help @realDonaldTrump, if he were color blind.
This is nothing more than a cop out (pardon my word choice). Trump has never hesitated to jump in with both feet to exploit crime issues for political gain. His silence now is clear affirmation that he speaks only in support of issues/individuals that match his (white) base.
