You’ve added a lot to my tweet that is not there. My point is simple, and none of the things you say: There is no “hypocrisy” there, and the tweet/headline is missing key information that would make clear that there is no hypocrisy here.
The hypocrisy is plain & simple. He sang at a anti-gun protest. Yet he broke the law by carrying a gun into a state he wasn’t licensed in. That’s a felony. They were all screaming “MORE GUN LAWS!” But hey, just sing about a valiant cause and it’s all good! No. It’s hypocrisy.
