The obvious examples of lawmakers and executives challenging SCOTUS constitutional decisions with which they disagree are state abortion laws for the GOP and campaign finance laws for the Dems. This is obvious, but journalists just love to play the "but actually" game.

Just this term alone, SCOTUS is expected to reverse a prior decision on public employee unions on constitutional grounds. So, again, it's not like this is unheard of.
