~Experiencing~ Bernadette in Dolly earlier this year, watching Homeland (for the first time) now, and having seen the limited engagement revival of Sunday last year ... Peters and Patinkin must have been electric.

It was remarkable. So was the original British production with Philip Quast. Lucky enough to be in the right places at the right times for both.
-
Gah! Incredible.
-
Parents with the theater bug + junior year abroad in London. Quast went from Javert in Les Mis (GOAT) to George midway thru the year (1989-90). Also original casts of Miss Saigon and Aspects of Love that year, and Ian McCellan in Bent. Wow, I'm old.
-
McKellen - sorry, Sir Ian.

every aspect of it kills me the #1 thing I don't like about the new cast recording is that nothing can replace this track especially, and it's not Annaleigh Ashford's fault at all but NOTHING beats Bernadette in Sunday (except maybe Bernadette in Into the Woods?)
-
I just put it on again. She. Kills. Me.

have you ever heard the bootleg where she can't find the beans in Last Midnight and just starts screaming
-
ah sorry wait that's Donna Murphy ignore me

It's not the same as live, but you've seen the PBS taped version of it, I hope. Incredible.
