NRA's apparent argument: The fact that 18-y/o's can vote — despite that this was accomplished by constitutional amendment in 1971 — and can be drafted (by statute) shows that the 2nd Amendment (adopted in 1791) applies to them.pic.twitter.com/4R2EpjpRzW
I definitely am interested in seeing their arguments on this, but that reads as a pretty weak opening salvo to me. (As noted, that one graf even says, “almost all purposes.”)
Can’t believe I have not seen a lot on the US Gov vs California.. it really is an interesting case with the Arizona SCOTUS ruling
Erm. It was filed and we had two days of coverage of it. We'll have more when more happens?
Oops sorry..I missed.. I was just really talking theoreticals. Carry onpic.twitter.com/vWuckYm2VD
I don't know law but I am thinking if NJ can raise the age to 21 to buy tobacco or vape products Florida can raise gun purchase age. Age of majority in this country seems to be a suggestion
Does this seem risky to you on their part? I mean, you can't drink until you're 21 and that's never been successfully challenged. I think this is a loser and it's one that they may regret. Which, for the record, is great with me!
