Yeesh, I’m not up for a fight all day about figure skating; my point, saucily phrased, was solely that I’m annoyed by the way Twitter, writ large, focuses on all the wrong things (e.g., the Pence comments, or the America’s sweetheart line).

And, for the record, if I had known that he had dragged America down to the team bronze, I would’ve been much harder on him. (A joke! I have no idea if he was great and pulled them up or bad and dragged them down. Either way, third place is second loser, so, you know.)

I think (know*) we see different Twitters, but my view has been a much broader lens than those two comments. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

"Here's my lame tweet complaining about an athlete I don't like, haha he got 10th" "Here's a long list of his achievements" "Listen I don't want to get dragged into talking figure skating all day" This is truly riveting stuff. Fine work.
