[We knew Francisco would be first in the line of succession after AG/DAG/AAG (DOJ confirmed that yesterday); this confirms there is not a new AG’s order that might have changed up the internal order of succession.]

This could be changed by DOJ at anytime, correct?
-
Yes, but, there’s honestly no reason to think they would. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I think this has been a side-obsession that doesn’t really make sense to me.

I suppose if you were to fire Rosenstein you would want to change this list first to put the most Trump friendly person as next in-line before doing so. Not sure how difficult that is vs. just appointing someone new or relying on who is already there

The good thing is that the Attorney General can designate someone... So Sessions could prevent the Solicitor General from assuming the office. Or maybe, if Rosenstein knows he's being fired, he appoints someone to take the office before he leaves. I don't want my country to die
