Jeff Sessions said it would be great if any addict could visit treatment and be cured — then suggest it doesn’t make sense to rely on treatment alone. He doesn’t mention policing has utterly failed to stop drug addiction.

It would be remarkable if, as a result of Sessions' menacing rhetoric toward doctors, sick people living and dying in agonizing pain can’t get relief because their doctors are afraid to prescribe the right drug.
