Seems like they could easily set up a twitter account to send these messages. Then you just have to follow.

I think being just a few tweets in the stream would not be nearly as effective at its aim of actually getting you to stop and think for a minute.

What if it randomly @ you? Or even better, random accounts randomly @ you. If you have notifications on it would be similar.
