Corn: the other root vegetable.
Do they know about pineapple? I only discovered in my 20s that pineapple do not grow on trees. LOL
Me too! I was a little traumatized seeing my first pineapple field to be honest.
WHAT ELSE HAVEN’T I BEEN TOLD?!? We grew corn and okra in my family childhood garden but never pineapple...though probably could have in Louisiana.
I HAD NO IDEA. That was the most informative Google Image search in months.
When I was growing up we had a houseplant of a pineapple top that we'd rooted after we ate the pineapple. It grew large and beautiful and after many years it put out one long stem and an actual tiny pineapple grew in our living room. It was amazing.
That’s wild. *plans for a project form*
