Sen. Moseley Braun and Feinstein joined the committee together (they were the second/third women appointed to the committee, she was the first African American woman).
-
What woman had served before them?

Maria Cantwell was on Senate Judiciary in 2001-2002.
-
(I remember why: I had been looking to see who had voted on Supreme Court nominees in committee, and there were no nominees during those years.)

I knew this only because I was a SJC staffer for Biden at the time!
