In any event, it was good to feel inspired — and reminded that we had a White House not so long ago where the president and senior staff actively despised the press and worked to turn public opinion against the press. But, the press kept doing their job.
And publishers kept backing their newsrooms. And the courts protected the freedom of the press. And the reporting kept happening. I’m proud to work at a publication that is working to keep each of those points alive and strong today.
