Um. So, this "Statement by the Press Secretary" says "today I signed an executive order to dissolve the Commission." [That's not how this works.]

Also, perhaps obviously, there is no public executive order at this point.

Despite that kerfuffle over the White House statement, this move was clearly planned out, given DOJ's quick move to file notice in all 8 pending cases. https://www.buzzfeed.com/zoetillman/trump-just-disbanded-his-contested-election-integrity?utm_term=.frvYvn1a3#.csy1O7z5Z …pic.twitter.com/niRkIeGb6Y

This should feel like a victory, and yet, somehow it doesn’t. Do I have Trump Stockholm syndrome or something?
-
Because maybe the damage has already been done? But I suspect it's because of the court order compelling them to provide all docs to the Dem rep. They were up to something that they don't want anyone to know about. It'll come out.
-
Or will they argue the entire issue is moot now and continue to stonewall? (I don't think that'll fly but I could see them trying it.) (In other words, I suspect this is a delaying tactic.)
-
I think a bit of both. But the way that the whole mob are starting to turn on each other, something will leak.

And cynics like me might suggest this is a direct result of court instructing them to give all docs to Dem representative.
