That's what it sounds like. But would they say this even if they intended to review the pending cases and quietly drop charges later?

I mean, "the same rigorous review" is a "jury’s close examination of the individual conduct and intent of each defendant during this trial," so, whether they do it, I can't predict the future, but that sure is what they're suggesting is the plan.
-
That’s how I read it (but have also asked for clarification).
-
That’s definitely my interpretation as well. I guess my question is whether it is a real indication of their plan or whether it’s boilerplate that they would issue whether or not they intended to pursue more trials.
-
I’m not quite sure there is boilerplate language for this scenario. Of course, they might be saying one thing and still be internally reviewing whether to proceed, but their public position is they want each defendant to go before a jury, which means going forward.

Wouldn't they not want to signal otherwise without having time to review this trial, even if they're starting to reconsider now?
-
Their statement now is not, "We're reviewing the next steps"; it's "we look forward to juries looking at the other defendants."

Be honest with yourselves… They were riots. They weren't protests.
-
if they were rioters, why couldn't the state prove it?

If at first you don’t succeed, try and fail again.

Of course they have to say that but they probably will have to drop cases involving the tainted police testimony. This is the best holiday gift ever & never should have been brought to trial in the 1st place.
